• Exfoliate: Use a gentle scrub or mitt to exfoliate your skin 24 hours before, focusing on dry areas like elbows, knees, and ankles. Avoid oil-based scrubs.

• Shave or wax: Shave or wax at least 12-24 hours prior to your session to allow pores to close.

• Skip certain products: Do not apply any lotions, deodorants, perfumes, or makeup on the day of your appointment, as they can create a barrier and cause uneven color.

• Wear the right clothes: Choose loose, dark, and comfortable clothing to prevent your tan from smudging. Tight clothing can rub off the bronzer and leave streaks.

• Paint nails: Apply a clear coat of nail polish to protect your nails from staining. 

• Wait to rinse: Do not get your skin wet or apply any products until the recommended development time is over (typically 6-8 hours). Your artist will advise you on the specific time for your solution.

• Avoid activities that cause sweating: Stay out of the gym and hot tubs until your tan has fully developed.

• Take a rinse shower: When it’s time for your first shower, take a quick, lukewarm one with no soap to rinse off the bronzer.

• Moisturize daily: To extend the life of your tan, apply a moisturizer or an oil-free lotion in the mornings and evenings after the initial rinse shower.
